Function:
The “Certified Gauge Check Station” is used to determine the accuracy of the tire pressure gauges. Using the check station is quick and easy. The certified gauge check station consists of a pressure reservoir tank, filter/regulator combo, and a 0 - 160 PSI liquid filled gauge. Also included is a certificate of accuracy for your records.
Installation:
Mount the station in a clean and secure location. The location can either be on a wall or on a work bench. Use wall anchors to mount the unit securely on a wall with the correct lag bolt size. Or use the proper screws to mount it on a work bench. When installation is complete, turn the yellow handle on top of the gauge to “OPEN”. Note: The end user is responsible for selecting the proper size screw when mounting the unit on either a wall or work surface area.
Air Line Connection & Pressure Adjustment:
Connect an air line to the ¼” pipe nipple. To adjust air pressure, pull up on knob to unlock. Turn knob in appropriate direction to reach desired pressure setting on the filter/regulator combo unit. The needle on the liquid filled gauge will adjust accordingly when turning the knob. Adjust until preferred pressure is reached. Push knob back down to lock unit on desired setting.
Testing Your Gauge
When the liquid filled pressure gauge has been adjusted to the desired pressure; press your gauge on the appropriate valve stem adapter. If the reading is not within the required tolerance, replace or recalibrate (if gauge has a recalibration feature) the gauge. Liquid filled pressure gauge p/n 8900; Each gauge is tested, date-certified, and issued with a unique serial number on the dial. Re-calibration is normally 12 months unless determined otherwise.
Re-calibration of the gauge is necessary to uphold the accuracy of the Gauge Check Station. Certification of the gauge can be accomplished by a certified company specializing in calibration and testing of gauges.
